"The topical, somewhat unsettling title of the record does not refer directly to the music on it. Dariusz Petera explains: The title is about the times we have come to live in. I took it from a book describing the mechanisms that govern relationships, technology and politics in the twenty-first century. It is also a question about the limits of technological progress, which on the one hand streamlines our everyday lives and on the other distances us ever further from emotion and the human factor.

The album is built as a kind of suite, its parts held in the aesthetic of contemporary chamber music, of so-called open form, and of an acoustic sound underpinned by electronics. The sound material of each link forms a bridge between the pure freedom of improvisation and the influence of twentieth-century classical music. The special guest, like each member of the sextet, is an individual moving in his own musical world on his own terms; together they form a surprisingly natural musical conglomerate, its foundations laid on refined, mature skills and rich experience — in the studio as much as on stage. A somewhat different approach than before allowed me to refresh and look from a new angle at the criteria of my own aesthetic and emotional experience, giving it a creative, searching character, Petera sums up."
