Atom String Quartet is one of the most intriguing string quartets in the world and ranks among the leading jazz ensembles in Poland. The group combines the capabilities of a string quartet with a broad approach to improvisation. In addition to jazz, their music draws on inspirations from Polish folk traditions, music from various regions of the world, as well as contemporary and classical music.<\/p>\n
The quartet was founded in 2010 in Warsaw and is composed of violinists Dawid Lubowicz and Mateusz Smoczy\u0144ski, violist Micha\u0142 Zaborski, and cellist Krzysztof Lenczowski. All members received a thorough classical education and are graduates of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. They are also composers and successfully lead their own solo projects.<\/p>\n
