About the album
This will be quite an event on the Polish record market. On 10 October 2025, eleven years after his last album, Grzegorz Turnau’s newest record, bearing the enigmatic title “Szósta godzina” (“The Sixth Hour”), sees the light of day. The release contains 14 songs, including two singles already known – “Utrata (Z duszą na listek)” and “Paskudna piosenka” – and the newest one, the title track “Szósta godzina”.
This is how Grzegorz Turnau describes the record: “The forthcoming album is two-sided. Lyrical on the one hand, comic on the other. Atmospheric and pastiche-like. Dark and light. Like the seasons heading towards my favourite winter. Poems by L.A. Moczulski, J. Czechowicz, R. Frost, A. Zagajewski and B. Maj are accompanied by my own lyrics, and this aspect, too, makes the record two-sided – serious poetry meets amateur commentary here. But enough now – there is nothing worse than a singer who talks about what he is going to sing about.”
The album is released on CD and LP.
