Over the Clouds brought together some of the leading names of the European jazz scene. Alongside Mateusz Smoczyński it features Markus Stockhausen from Germany, the Estonian pianist Kristjan Randalu, Chris Jennings — a double bass player born in Canada and based in Paris for years — and the Polish drummer Bodek Janke.
The music was recorded at the renowned Fattoria Musica studio in Osnabrück. The album is due in 2027.
The live premiere of the whole programme comes much sooner: the band plays it on 25 October at Jazz Jamboree in Warsaw.
